The narrative and policy approach in Europe on labour migration and integration needs to change. This will help show the world that Europe is a welcoming continent. We see the availability of global talent and the attractiveness of the European labour market as a means to achieving our entrepreneurial mission. We believe migrant workers contribute to the economic, social, and cultural development of our societies.
As European employers, we support a common European labour migration policy that will enable us to attract, retain and relocate global talent; support the adjustment to new trends of remote work; and ensure equal rights for all workers. This pledge describes our commitment to the development of new legal avenues, equal rights and opportunities within the EU, and a healthy integration and diversity culture within our businesses.
We demand political action in:
Create an open ecosystem for international talent; enable seamless relocation from third countries; allow for talent to flow freely within Europe through enhanced mobility; ease international hiring through more flexibility, more European harmonisation, and less national bureaucracy.
We as employers pledge to:
Offer equal opportunities, wages and conditions for migrants within our company; create a welcome culture and set out diversity targets; support migrants in their relocation; and promote a positive narrative and policy on labour migration internally and externally.
